Suyeong: Hello! Thank you for giving us an opportunity to have an interview! The April Tsubasa will be about freshmen so I would like to give you some questions from now. Can you please introduce yourself first?
Chaemin: I’m a freshman in the faculty of Business, and my name is Chaemin-Lee, you can call me ‘Mini’ as a nickname too!

Suyeong: Mini ! Is there any reason to name yourself ‘mini’ ?
Chaemin: Originally, I was thinking of “Ren” as my nickname, but there was a student in my faculty whose name is “Ren” already, So I ended up using “Mini” which was often called in Korea.
Suyeong: Wow, But I think Mini looks perfectly good on you !
Chaemin: Really ? Thanks ! haha
Suyeong: Then, Changing the topic a little bit, It is already been a few days since you entered the university! How are you feeling now ??

Chaemin: Yes I entered the university, but I took online classes for 1 week because of the quarantine, so I am feeling a little bit that I’m not used to college life ! Also, I often feel that there is a big gap between the class of faculty and bekka.
Suyeong: Was it pretty hard to join the classes via zoom last year?
Chaemin: Definitely. I think it’s much more difficult to have a class in person.
Suyeong: Yeah, I can understand what you are saying perfectly! haha. Then, What was the hardest thing to have a class in Korea?
Chaemin: Well, I can not come up with the particular one, but all of our classes are done by zoom, so we need to seat for about 6 hours every weekday to take a class so I’ve been tired of it. But I’m not saying that the Japanese classes are boring, but Seating in front of the computer and looking at the screen for hours is pretty suffering really. I know every my bekka friends understand this haha
Suyeong: Wow.. It sounds really difficult actually, but how did you get over it ?
Chaemin: To overcome this, I even made a promise with my peers that since our entry was canceled many times, so we decided to go to Japan together when we get permission to enter, not expecting vaguely. It may sound a little bit negative, but that was really helpful to me at that time.
Suyeong: You mean, It is helpful to accept reality rather than thinking everything positively Ok! Let me change the mood. Finally, you could be an undergraduate, Is there anything you would like to try this year?

Chaemin: I want to try club activities! also want to participate in Ryukitsu as a staff too ! I’m not confident that I can do it well yet but I heard a lot of things from my older sister about Ryukitsu, So I would like to challenge myself to do it!
Suyeong: That sounds super great ! Whether it is club activities or Ryukitsu, I’m sure it will be a big chance to be a better person ! Now, this is the last question, If you have any words for all of Bekka students of this year, Please let me know !
Chaemin: Do I have Kohai students already ?! hahaha I don’t think I can give them a kind of advice, you know, My bekka was absolutely different from this year. But the only thing I can give them is that Please hang out with your bekka friends. Going trip during Golden week or Summer/winter vacation, Having a good meal, whatever it is, I’m certain that it will be a really precious memory to you in your uni life, and even your entire life.
Suyeong: Oh! That is absolutely the same opinion as me ! Thank you so much for giving wonderful advice, and being an interviewee this time. FSA is always supporting your brilliant university life! Thank you!
