Hee:Hello, Felipe! Nice to meet you!

Felipe:Nice to meet you too!

Hee:Thank you for accepting today’s interview!

Felipe:Sure! Thank you for preparing a nice interview too!

Hee:First of all, can you introduce yourself?

Felipe:Hello my name is Felipe, I am a graduate student from the faculty of international peace studies. Currently, I am a second year student and happy to be here!

Hee:Thank you for the introduction! First thing first, may I know where you are from?

Felipe:Oh, I’m from Brazil!

Hee:Ah! You’re from Brazil! Recently, there was a soccer game between Brazil and Korea! Also Brazil won with 5:1! Did you watch that game?

Felipe:Yes,I did watch it!

Hee:As expected, Brazil is very strong team!

Felipe:Haha. Thank you!

Hee:(Laugher)By the way、when will you graduate from the graduate school?

Felipe:Maybe, I think it is in March, next year.

Hee:Oh I see. Then, from now on, we would like to start the interview earnestly. What is your reason to enter Soka graduate school?

Felipe:So I have two main reasons, the first one is that I really want to experience the Soka’s education founded by Ikeda sensei. The second reason is to make friends from all around the world, as Soka University is a good place to experience that.

Hee:Oh, it is really great! And, what is the interesting or unforgettable things in the graduate school’s student life?

Felipe:Probably, it is the friends that i could make during my undergraduate period. Because in Brazil, I used to work and study during the night for 6 years. So with the friends that i could make at that time,we shared the same experience,we worked and studied during the night. We also shared the struggles, not only in the University but during the way to the University on the public transportation. So those were some of the very fun moments which last as “good memories” of my undergraduate period. If it was only for studies, it was not joyful.. but because of friends, it was really meaningful for me.

Hee:Then, what is the most difficult thing in graduate school?

Felipe:I think it is time management.

Hee:Oh...yeah of course, it is really difficult…

Felipe:That was something very difficult to me, I had to work, it was not an intentional choice. Studying and working.. It was very difficult, like during the weekends, studying for the exams. I had work from Monday until Friday…I even needed to study during recess time. It was super busy for me..But it was fun! As I could learn a lot during this time, mainly about my potential.

Hee:Great! Sure! me and my friends are also worrying about the time management and balancing between studies and activities. So, many people can recieve much inspiration by your interview. The last question is… if you had a chance to join an undergraduate program in Soka university、what would you want to do?

Felipe:Oh! This is a difficult question- I feel that if I were a student during my undergraduate period here in Soka University, probably, I would live more intensely in my undergraduate period like I am doing right now. One unique thing would be the “International student cafe” for Sodaisai and making as many friends as possible, which I could not experience during my graduate studies. Plus, trying to study as much as possible, putting more effort on it.

Hee:It's true that univerity life is important, but studying is also very important!

Felipe:(Laughter) I agree with you!

Hee:It's the end of the interview! I'm sure many people will be encouraged by your interview! Thank you so much!
