(June 1/2) Introduction of graduate school student

Suyeong : So happy to meet you in person, Sima !

Sima : Thank you !

Suyeong : Can you introduce yourself first of all please ?

Sima : Okay ! My name is SIma, and I'm from Russia, first year of SIPS program in Soka university.

Suyeong : Wow, SIPS program, what about your hobby or what do you like to do these days?

Sima : My hobby is listening to music, mostly J-rock, K-pop, but I'm listening to all kinds of music !

Suyeong : Oh really? Then who is your the most favorite singer ?

Sima : Hmmm That's a tough one.. Actually Dir en grey, Japanese Rock band is my favorite, but recently I like to listen Epik High .

Suyeong : Epik High ?! Korean hip hop group ? How do you know them ?

Sima : Cause I'm interested in K-pop, so I found them by just listening to K-pop !

Suyeong : Wow... That's so interesting I didn't expect to hear Epik High from you ! haha By the way, these were kind of basic questions, so I'd like to ask you some serious questions. First one is, what is your main reason for coming to Soka university graduate school?

Sima : Haha okay, The reason why I came here is I wanted to study abroad when I was undergraduate student, and I couldn't expect that I can go, but after graduation, one of my friends explained Soka university to me, so I checked university's web site and I found SIPS program, it was like striking me ! Its content was so attractive to me as I always wanted to study about how to make peace come true.

Suyeong : Wow it is so amazing, it sounds like joining SIPS is kind of your destiny!

Next question is, what is your most difficult thing for you to study as a graduate school student?

Sima : Wow! There are so many things. First of all, there are many things to study, but what different from undergraduate is that we need to set all of the materials for our presentation, and even assignments such as what we should research.And learning Japanese and having good life in Japan is also difficult to me also. HAHA!

Suyeong : It sounds really tough ! But I think you are doing well though. Okay let’s go to the last question that is.. what if you can go back to when you were a university student, what do you want to do?

Sima : Wow… I will absolutely be a student of Soka university if I could know about this university because coming to this university is a kind of turning point for me. I didn’t know what i should do for changing my circumstances but I could learn by coming here.

Suyeong : I think your answer is one of the most touching answers I ever heard while interviewing many students. Ok! Thank you for being interviewee today, and I hope you do your best in your graduate school life!
