(September 2/2) Introduction of a Ryukitsu department leader

すよん：Hello !! Can you please introduce yourself?

トニー：Hello! My name is Satsuki Maeda (Tony), and I’m 3rd year student of faculty of science and engineering! And I’m also 2nd year of Tenseki department too!

すよん：Thank you! But I think there are some people who don’t know about what Tenseki department is, so could you please introduce the department?

トニー：Ah, The Tenseki department is a department which build connncetions between international students and people who come to Soka festival, and we also serve good foods at the festival too!

すよん：Wow, then, is there anything special and different to this year’s Tenseki department?

トニー：Of course, we’re going to open our stores face to face this year, and this is also gonna happen for the rest of the departments too, right? haha when it comes to my own personal, there are lots of things to do and take responsibility of because I'm in my 2nd year.

すよん：Oh I see, then is there something new we can only experience at Tenseki department?

トニー：Hmm... Actually, we don’t have yet, but we are thinking about publishing a recipe book this year as last year because we thought we should make use of our online experience.

すよん：That means, you are trying to go back to face-to-face Soka festival! By the way, I heard that you got a license, what is that?

トニー：Hahaha, It’s not that great one. It is just license on how to manage groceries, and foods. I just took it because there will be many people on Soka festival D-day, and we have a responsibility for serving good and healthy foods to eat. And also, it’s going to be big problem to Ryukitsu if some people got a food poison during the Soka festival. That’s why I took the license!

すよん：You really love your department haha but when you decided to start activities as staff of Tenseki, wasn’t it a kind of pressure that you taking responsibility at Tenseki for 2 years straight?

トニー：Well, I really appreciated to be able to participate in Ryukitsu so there was so any kind of pressure. It may be because I’m Japanese haha. Now I love everyone not as international students but just as human beings haha.

すよん：That really touching! Then, this is the last question, please give some advice to everyone who will enter Tenseki department!

トニー：I just want to say please make your experiences which you got through Covid pandemic worthy, and also want them to make the Ryukitsu better as time changes. Because it has been 44 years to hold a Ryukitsu but we are not stop evolving since the 44 years ago, and we are believing that what we are doing is the history of Ryukitsu.
