E: Hi. Could you introduce yourself please?
G: Hi! I'm Gayoung from Korea, and I am enrolled at Bekka (Japanese Program) this year! Some of my hobbies are reading different kinds of novels.
E: What kind of genre novels do you like, for example?
G: I like any kind of genre novels! Especially those like Apocalypse based on zombies and the destruction of the world. In other words, the dystopia against the backdrop of obscure lives!
E: That's interesting. Why do you like that kind of genre?
G:It is interesting to see how the protagonist gets out of the most difficult situations!
E: That's amazing! It looks fun!! I'll give it a try next time!!
G: Yes! Please read it! (Laughs)
E: First of all, let's start with the first question! I heard that you participated in the Sports Festival the other day. How was it?
G: Yes! Actually, when I first heard about the Sports Festival, I thought it was just an offline athletic meet, so at the first time I regretted having applied... But when I actually participated, it was an event where we could easily make it into practice by moving both our mind and body!
E: Wow, thank you so much for saying this. Could you share with us which parts you liked the most?
G: The best part was that I didn't have to complete the missions on my own, but I had time to share it with many people, so I was inspired by others who challenged and were working hard!
E: Thank you so much for doing your best! I'm so touched!! How did you feel about participating in this event?
G: Well, what I felt was that there might be things I wouldn't be able to do alone, but actually it was something I could do with others. I'm glad to make it possible all together and with everyone!

E: That's true, isn't it? I think that challenging something next to someone else has been a great experience! Let's move on to the next question! Please let us know what you learned through this experience.
G: I think I gained courage through this Sports Festival! I'm a Bekka Student now, and my Japanese level is still low. So when we first met, I was really nervous and couldn't understand anything in Japanese, but the only thing I could get was, "Gayoung, is it okay?" and I said, "Yes! It's okay!", but actually when I asked him again, he meant to say if it was okay to be the leader. Thus at the beginning, I was reluctant to send anything to the team's LINE group, but after the second day's mission, I started sending it to the LINE group and cheer my group members.
That led me to participate more actively in the activities, and I think it became a good starting point because this event gave me the courage to do something by myself!
E: That's amazing. Honestly, I was a little worried about whether it would become a good memory for everyone or not, but I'm relieved that you shared this with me. Thank you so much!
G: No, thank you so much for making this kind of event!
E: I'm sure FSA members will be happy to know it! Please continue to participate in the upcoming events!
G: Of course! I aim to participate in all Soka University events!
E: That's great~ I'd love to see you there! I don't know if you heard that ICAF, Forever Party, Gratitude Festival, and General Assembly Meetings will be held from now on. What event would you like to participate in the most? To explain about the events in detail, ICAF and Forever Party are festivals for foreign students, Gratitude Festival is an event to thank those who have not been able to express their appreciation for a year, and the General Assembly Meeting is an event where we discuss and talk about various topics!

G: Well, I think the General Assembly Meeting is the one I am looking forward to attending the most! The reason is that interacting with others seems to be really enjoyable!
E: Right. I participated in the General Assembly Meeting when I didn't know anything about it, and I remember being able to meet and talk to people who had the same goals as me! I hope this year's General Assembly Meeting will be a good time for the participants.
G: Well, I think we can understand other people's thoughts by interacting, so I'm really looking forward to it!
E: Exactly! Lastly, would you like to say something for those who haven't participated in FSA events yet?
G: Something! (laughs) Well jokes aside, I think it's difficult to try something for the first time, but when you actually try it, it's not as difficult as you think, and there are many events you can enjoy, so I think everyone should try it at least once!
E: Wow, thank you so much!! I think everyone will want to participate after reading your words! Thank you so much for making some time for the interview and sharing so many good stories today! I hope to see you soon in Japan! Thank you very much!
G: Thank you!
